We moved to the lake around the start of summer and didn’t get our boat until mid-summer last year. That meant missing the peak trout fishing from when the state stocked the lake in the early Spring until they were fished out or headed deep and scattered.
This year I was really looking forward to catching trout in the lake and today was the day. We got the boat in this past weekend and I finally got a moment to get out fishing today.
It wasn’t a huge fish but it was the first trout of the year for me and the first ever from the lake we now live on. Looking forward to finding more!
