I’m right handed. I’ve always setup my spinning reels left handed so I didn’t have to switch hands after casting. Apparently many people do that but most right handed people use right handed baitcasting reels. It is more of a commitment since baitcasting reels aren’t convertible.
Sam Hanggi at Wired2Fish wrote a story about why he uses a left handed reel even though he is right hand dominant. I was glad to see it as I decided to go with a left handed baitcasting reel and it is nice to know I’m not the only one.
